In response to the current situation around the world and with the guidance of Reham Farouk, CEO of Al Tadamun Microfinance Foundation, Al Tadamun was able to take a quick action to overcome the challenges facing the microfinance industry, especially in the field of financial education and financial literacy for clients of the microfinance sector. A program about “Financial Awareness” was implemented online in partnership with the International Labor Organization, ILO, for the first time in the Arab Republic of Egypt, which started on April 7, 2020 for eight trainees for a period of six days with a total of 30 hours, discussing the following topics:
– Set financial goals
– Budgeting
– Different savings methods
– Loans and their uses
– Payment methods and money transfer products
– Dealing with financial institutions
– Risk management and insurance services
Also, a plan was put in place to implement 2020 training programs. An online program titled “Effective Leadership Skills” took place during May 9-14, 2020 which included 15 training hours, to develop leadership, administrative and supervisory skills for a group of employees from the Internal Control Unit (22 employees divided into two groups).
