Al Tadamun’s senior management team attended Sanabel’s eighth Annual Conference in Jordan which was held under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister Dr. Maarouf Al Bakhit. The event took place at the Convention Center of Le Meridian Hotel in Amman, Jordan from June 7 – 9, 2011. The Minister of State for Planning, Dr. Jaafar Hassan, representing the prime minister of Jordan, inaugurated the conference. The theme of the conference, being “Microfinance in the Arab Region: Challenges of the Past and Opportunities of the Future,” was designed under three main tracks; namely, Risk Management, Responsible Finance, and Product Development & Innovation.
This three-day event was attended by more than 500 participants, including microfinance practitioners, government officials, investors, donors and other industry stakeholders from the Arab region as well as 70 regional and international speakers.
As for Al Tadamun’s team, they keenly sought to network with other MFIs from the MENA region and worldwide to share experiences as well as get introduced to donors and investors who are willing to invest and partner with Arab MFIs.
